Xmas 2012 article

Firstly, from the Staff, Shareholders and Directors of Birch Surveyors Ltd, Seasons Greetings to all our friends, family, clients and colleagues. We wish you all the very best for the Christmas and New Year festive season, and hope this will be a safe and enjoyable time for you and your families.

2012 has been another exciting year for the Company with some additions and departures from the staff team, and the establishment of an office in Tauranga back in April. We now have a team of 3 located in Tauranga who are quickly establishing their presence in the City, and additional office space is being acquired in the New Year.

The year has seen our staff actively involved in seeking resolutions to the Rural Plan Change through mediated discussions. In particular we are fighting to retain provisions which protect and enhance remnant bush and wetlands, and retain flexibility to transfer titles throughout the District. We had expected these to be resolved during the year, but hearings are now scheduled early next year. Auckland’s new Unity Plan is sure to excite everyone during 2013, and cause considerable consternation!.

Our office will be closed from 5 pm on Thursday 20th December 2012 and reopening on Monday 14th January 2013. My best wishes to you for a prosperous and happy 2013.
