New planner appointed

We are pleased to announce the employment of a senior planner to supplement our existing staff. Julie commenced work in the second week of June and has extensive experience over the last 20 years working with Local Councils in the Central North Island including Wanganui, Tauranga, Thames Coromandel, Hauraki and Rotorua Councils. The knowledge gained is well balanced with experience working with private consultancies. The insights gained from both processing applications for Councils and submitting applications to Council is invaluable and provides Julie with a broad range of knowledge on the RMA process.

In addition to Julie’s background knowledge in the RMA, she also has a strong focus on building relationships and has strong communication skills. These attributes being essential in managing complex planning processes.

Julie is based in our Tauranga office but will regularly work from Pukekohe and with remote server access will be able to provide expertise and advice to clients from either office.

With workloads across the industry being particularly heavy at the moments [Land Information NZ are now reporting approval times of 20 to 25 workings days (up from 10 wd in recent times)] the addition of Julie to the team will assist us to meet our own deadlines.
